Abstract: Emotion recognition from speech is a crucial aspect of human-computer interaction, enabling machines to understand and respond to human emotions. This paper presents the Speech-Emotion-Recognition-App, a web-based application designed to analyze and identify emotions from audio inputs. The app integrates various technologies, including Python, Flask, TensorFlow, PyAudio, and Librosa, to preprocess audio data, extract features, and employ a deep learning model for emotion classification. The deep learning model combines Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) with Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) layers to capture both spatial and temporal dependencies in the audio data. Users interact with the app through a user-friendly web interface, where they can record or upload audio for emotion analysis. The app displays predicted emotions in real-time, allowing users to gain insights into the emotional content of their speech. Performance evaluation demonstrates the app's accuracy, efficiency, and usability, with high accuracy achieved in classifying emotions and efficient processing times suitable for real-time applications. Overall, the Speech-Emotion-Recognition-App represents a significant advancement in emotion recognition technology, with potential applications in virtual assistants, mental health monitoring, and customer service.
Keywords: Emotion recognition, speech analysis, deep learning, Flask, web application.
