| Abstract: | The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted global mental health, particularly among young adults, with anxiety disorders becoming more prevalent. In India, where mental health resources are limited, the situation is particularly challenging. Emotion-focused coping strategies, such as distraction and emotional support seeking, have been prevalent. This study explores these coping mechanisms and highlights the need for more comprehensive mental health support in India, given the scarcity of mental health professionals. Addressing mental health challenges is crucial in the COVID-19 era and beyond. |
