This project aims to investigate the causes of potholes in flexible pavement and explore the use of cost-effective materials for pavement maintenance. Flexible pavement is commonly used for transportation infrastructure, but it is prone to developing potholes due to a variety of factors such as weather, traffic loads, and poor maintenance. The study will examine the different factors that contribute to the development of potholes and explore the use of cost-effective materials and techniques for pavement maintenance, such as crack sealing, sealcoating, and preventive maintenance treatments. By identifying the most effective and affordable methods for maintaining flexible pavements, this project aims to help reduce the costs associated with pavement maintenance and prolong the useful life of these important transportation assets.
