This work considers the steady two dimensional magnetohydrodynamic boundary layer flow and heat transfer over a shrinking sheet in the presence of an external magnetic field and internal heat generation or absorption. The governing equations are transformed using similarity transformation. Perturbation method is used to linearise the resulting ordinary differential equations at large suction. The resulting equations are solved analytically. The effects of the involved parameters on the velocity and temperature profiles are illustrated graphically and in tabular forms.
